Apex Macro

The Apex Macro calorie and macro tracker app for Android. Apex Macro and PriceVouch are provided by SSG Drilling Technology Ltd. (BC company no. BC1613232), British Columbia, Canada (“we”, “us”). Last updated: 22 October 2026. Contact: [email protected]

Your food diary and your health data stay on your phone. They are never sold, never used for advertising and never shared.

The rules for using Apex Macro and PriceVouch are in our terms of use.

What stays on your phone

Your food diary, your weigh-ins, your body details (age, height, weight, body fat, goal) and the activity Apex Macro reads from Health Connect are stored only on your phone. Uninstalling the app deletes them. Android's cloud backup is turned off for Apex Macro.

Health Connect

With your permission, Apex Macro reads these from Health Connect (Android 14 and newer), and nothing else:

If you allow it, Apex Macro also writes nutrition to Health Connect: the meals you log in Apex Macro (name, meal, calories and nutrients), so Samsung Health and your other apps can see them. You can turn this off in Apex Macro under Progress. Apex Macro only changes or deletes the meals it added itself; it never changes or deletes data from other apps. It also writes the workouts you record in Apex Macro (the session, its GPS route, active calories, distance and heart rate).

Bluetooth heart rate. If you connect a heart rate strap or a watch that broadcasts its heart rate, Apex Macro reads only the heart rate, only while you choose to connect it, and keeps it with your workout. Bluetooth is never used to find where you are.

Maps. A workout's route map is a Mapbox map picture: the phone sends Mapbox the route's outline to draw it, and keeps the picture on the phone for up to 30 days. See Mapbox's privacy policy.

Location. The phone's GPS is used only while you record a GPS workout - a notification shows while it runs - to map the route and measure distance and pace. The route stays on your phone and, if you allow it, in Health Connect. Apex Macro never tracks your location otherwise.

The coach. Questions you ask the coach (Cibus) are sent to Apex Macro's server to be answered. When "Share my day" is on (you can turn it off on the Coach page), today's numbers from your diary go with them: calories and macros eaten and targeted, your estimated burn, your goal, sex, age, weight, and the names of the foods you logged. They are used only to answer that question and are not kept; the chat itself is stored on your phone. The coach gives general information, not medical advice.

Apart from the coach, the data Apex Macro reads never leaves your phone. You can remove Apex Macro's access at any time in Settings > Health Connect. Apex Macro's use of this data follows the Health Connect Permissions policy, including its Limited Use requirements: it is used only to provide Apex Macro's features to you, never for advertising, never sold, and never transferred to anyone else.

What is sent to Apex Macro's server

Not medical advice

Apex Macro gives general nutrition information. Ingredient flags explain what regulators, health researchers and some natural-health practitioners say about an ingredient; flags marked as a whole-food or natural-health view are a view, not settled science. Talk to your doctor about your own health.

Children

Apex Macro and PriceVouch are meant for adults. You must be 16 or older to use them, with a parent's or guardian's agreement if you are under the age of majority where you live (see the terms of use). They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child has given us information, write to us and we will delete it.

Terms of use

Using Apex Macro or PriceVouch means agreeing to our terms of use (the same text is at /pricevouch-terms). When you agree in the app, your account keeps only which version you agreed to, the date and time, and which app you used. It is deleted with your account.

Data sources

Food data: USDA FoodData Central (public domain); UK Composition of Foods Integrated Dataset 2021 (Open Government Licence v3.0); ANSES-CIQUAL 2020 (Licence Ouverte); products by barcode from Open Food Facts (Open Database License).

Deleting your account and data

You can delete your account in the app at any time, without emailing us:

Type your password to confirm (and your authenticator code if you use two-step sign-in). Apex Macro and PriceVouch share one account, so deleting it in either app deletes it for both.

Deleting removes, straight away: your account (name, email and password), your sign-in on every phone, the settings saved with your account, your grocery lists sent to PriceVouch, your daily free-use counts, the record of which terms of use you agreed to and our sign-up record for the account. You get a short email to say it was done. The deletion itself is logged without your email.

If you pay for Apex Macro Pro, deleting the account does not cancel the subscription: payments go through Stripe, so write to us at the contact address above and we will cancel it. The app tells you this when you delete.

Your diary stays on your phone until you uninstall Apex Macro or clear its storage (on Android you can also tick “Also erase this phone’s diary” when you delete). If you can’t open the app, email us from the account’s address and we will delete the account for you.
